I recently spent a full day in Dunedin capturing a newly completed space for Well + Being – a wellness studio designed with a focus on light, texture, and tranquillity. The shoot was commissioned by interior designer Talia Taylor, in collaboration with Forte Flooring and the team at Well + Being.

This was a combined photo and video shoot, aimed at creating a versatile library of visual content for the studio’s website, social media, and marketing materials. We focused on documenting the thoughtful material palette – warm timber tones, textural contrasts, and natural finishes – alongside the way light moved through the space from morning to evening.

The design strikes a careful balance between calm and character, with curved forms and layered materials that were a pleasure to photograph. From wide architectural frames to close-up detail shots, the visuals were crafted to reflect the studio’s philosophy of intentional, sensory design.

In addition to stills, I captured a range of short video clips designed for use in Instagram reels and website banners – highlighting movement, texture, and quiet transitions within the space.

Always a treat to work with beautifully considered design like this. Big thanks to Talia, the team at Well + Being, and Forte for having me along – projects like this are a real joy to shoot.
