The Curated Whiskey House
Kate and Jodi from Curated got in touch for a relaxed half-day shoot to capture one of their latest interior design projects here in Wanaka. Affectionately dubbed The Whiskey House, a name that the three of us came up with mid-shoot, this moody, textural space is a perfect blend of rich tones, layered materials, and carefully considered design choices.
We shot a mix of stills and video to showcase the craftsmanship throughout the kitchen, living areas, bedrooms and bathrooms, highlighting the subtle lighting, refined material palette, and sense of atmosphere that makes this space feel equal parts luxurious and lived-in.
The shoot focused on creating clean, natural imagery that does justice to the interiors without over-staging. With a brief centred around storytelling, we aimed to capture not just the design, but the feeling of being in the space—warm, welcoming, and a little bit indulgent.
