Peaks & Pines - Across the Seasons
Peaks & Pines is a thoughtfully designed Airbnb in Wānaka, and a perfect example of how photographing a holiday home across multiple seasons can add real depth and longevity to its visuals. I photographed the home in both summer and winter, capturing it under very different conditions and allowing the shots to reflect how the property feels throughout the year.
In summer, the focus was on light, flow, and connection to the outdoors. Long days and soft evening light allowed me to highlight the interiors with warm, natural tones. The outdoor areas and surrounding landscape came into their own, reinforcing the sense of calm and space that defines the property during the warmer months.
Returning in winter offered a completely different atmosphere. Snow on the surrounding mountains brought a strong alpine character, while cooler light helped for a more cosy, quiet mood in the interiors.
Together, the summer and winter photographs create a versatile library that can be used year-round across Airbnb and other booking platforms.
