With the Hobsonville Point development approaching its final stages, Bayleys and Winton collaborated to showcase Launch Bay - a distinctive pocket of the community where restored heritage homes meet contemporary new builds. To support their marketing efforts, I was commissioned for a half-day shoot to capture both the architectural details and the inviting atmosphere of the area.
The brief was to create a versatile library of images for use across both parties’ marketing platforms. This meant balancing clean, architectural shots with editorial-style imagery that conveyed life in Launch Bay - from the character of its heritage houses to the fresh lines of its modern designs.
Working through the day, we documented a mix of open homes, street scenes, and candid interactions, ensuring the photography felt authentic while still polished for marketing use. The restored heritage homes along the clifftop offered classic, timeless detail, while the newer builds brought a crisp, contemporary contrast. Together, they form a unique neighbourhood identity that the imagery was designed to highlight.
The resulting collection delivers a sense of place as much as design – showing prospective buyers and residents what it feels like to be part of this community. From wide, sunlit street views to intricate architectural textures, the images serve as both a marketing asset and a visual record of one of Hobsonville Point’s most defining developments.
