I was commissioned by the homeowners - both professional renovators - to photograph this recently completed home renovation in Otahuhu, Auckland. Their goal was twofold: create a compelling set of images to help sell the property, and produce portfolio-quality shots they could use in their own marketing and client presentations.

We approached the shoot with a slightly more elevated style than a typical real estate photography session, blending clean, market-ready compositions with a focus on design details and atmosphere. The aim was to capture the home’s bright, inviting spaces in a way that spoke both to potential buyers and to future renovation clients.

Natural light played a big role in the results. The living areas open onto a sunny deck, and we timed the shoot to take full advantage of the warm daylight streaming through the windows. This gave the images a fresh, airy feel that complemented the home’s crisp white walls, timber floors, and carefully chosen finishes.

Alongside the wide, full-room shots needed for real estate listings, we also created tighter compositions highlighting key features; pendant lighting, textured surfaces, and styling touches that reflected the homeowners’ design sensibility. Bathrooms and kitchen spaces were treated with the same care, ensuring the entire home felt cohesive and thoughtfully presented.

The final set delivered on both objectives: an appealing, well-documented property for sale, and a polished portfolio piece for the clients’ renovation business.
